Wild began five years ago on a mission to reduce single-use plastic in the bathroom. While it all started with deodorant, we knew that to create real change we had to revolutionize the entire bathroom experience with natural and convenient alternatives, creating an ecosystem of refillable products that make a real difference in reducing single-use plastic.

What is the problem?

There's simply too much plastic! Plastic is everywhere, it doesnt get recycled properly and ends up in landfill for thousands of years and then creates microplastics which end up in the air and in your body! Here are some truly Wild facts:

There are some eco-friendly options out there, but they're a faff and not as sustainable as they may seem - most of them contain plastic too, like your 'paper' coffee cups!

We set out to close the gap between the convenience of plastic throwaway products and sustainable products. This is why we launched a refillable Bodywash with a plastic-free, compostable refill!. All the positives of your regular body wash, without the plastic.

Our solution?

This has been in the works for years - it is groundbreaking, innovative technology and we are so excited to share it with you!

The case is similar to the deodorant case - made from aluminium and kept for life. The refill is where things get special. The refills are 100% plastic-free, biobased, and will biodegrade faster than a banana peel…

The material that our refills are made out of is called Vivomer - and it is made by microorganisms that are readily available in nature. These microorganisms are fed renewable plant based feedstocks and fermented, which gives them the perfect conditions to create natural polymer granules within their cell. These natural polymer granules are extracted from the cell and used to create Vivomer.

This is game-changing for the throwaway plastic industry, offering a greener and more sustainable alternative for body wash... and hopefully more products in the future! It's a step towards a greener and more sustainable world.
