Dreaminβ of a Wild Christmas
πββοΈ Emma Barber
Whether youβll be wearing your Wild on the day, perhaps even a festive scent like Pine Needles or Cinnamon & Nutmeg, or whether youβve got one wrapped up under the tree for your loved ones, we hope you have a Wild Christmas day. Itβs always a slightly chaotic day, but doesnβt calling it Wild sound so much better? ;)
All of us who work here will certainly have a Wild one, and in between all of our online meetings and Slack chats, weβve been pondering about how we can make Christmas Day even Wilder.
For many of us, the food at the big dinner table is a highlight of the day, not just because itβs very often delicious, but also the spectacle of it all. And this got us thinking - how can we make the dinner table βWildβ?
Here are some festive ideas for your table which include some familiar smells and low-waste hacks for the big day.
Why not start the dining festivities off with a lovely grapefruit-based Paloma cocktail, inspired by our Bergamot & Grapefruit scent?
One of the best things about the 25th December, is that itβs sort of like an airport - all βappropriateβ time frames for cocktail-drinking go out the window. Whilst sipping on this, you can admire some homemade tree decorations made from dried oranges, making your house smell almost as divine as the Orange & Neroli refill!
Now, time to lay the table. Simple eco-actions can be ditching those rubbish Christmas crackers with homemade ones, filled with anything you like. Instead of that jumping frog thing, stupidly small playing cards, and other useless diddy plastic items, we reckon you could fit a Wild Mini in there, alongside a cheesy joke of course.
You may find a pine needle or two scattered on the table, and while we love the Pine Needles refill, itβs best to try and sweep those onto the floor...though they do get EVERYWHERE. If you have a real tree, donβt forget to look into local replanting centres for it to give it new life!
Another great option for your table is to use cotton napkins, rather than single use tissues and kitchen towels. Make sure theyβre freshly laundered so they smell as lovely as our Fresh Cotton & Sea Salt refill ;)
After people have finished their main course, despite the volume of food consumed (which is best described as βalarmingβ to be quite honest - at least in our households!) people's attention soon turns towards dessert. How about a selection of Cinnamon & Nutmeg cookies?
You could pick one up and smell it and announce to the table that it smells just like your armpits and enjoy seeing peoplesβ reactions unfold. Trust us - it makes for good viewing. If youβre feeling more ambitious in the world of desserts, why not make a show-stopping winter wonderland cake? Weβd suggest a lovely vanilla sponge, with your choice of filling, decorated with white icing and shredded coconut to make for a snowy scene with delicious Coconut & Vanilla flavours!
Of course, we canβt be here talking about dessert without mentioning a Christmas pudding - just make sure youβve got some eucalyptus to hand for when someone inevitably burns themselves setting it on fire! Weβre pretty sure that the reason our Mint & Eucalyptus scent can handle the heat under those arms during all the stresses of Christmas is thanks to this magical ingredient!

Thatβs it - weβre full. Cannot possibly eat another thing. Itβs over. Time now for a cup of jasmine loose leaf green tea to help soothe our bloated tummies. And maybe a cheeky mandarin as well - our Jasmine & Mandarin Blossom refill is proof that these two flavours go great together!
There you have it, a Wild Christmas day, including all of our core range scents, and even a couple of our limited edition ones!
Alright...nearly all. We didnβt get Sandalwood & Patchouli in there, but can you really blame us for being (tree)stumped on that one? (Didnβt think youβd make it through a Wild Christmas blog without a bad pun, did you?)
Have yourselves a very Wild Christmas, with wishes from all at Team Wild πππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππ
